Glen Arbor charter fishing & Empire charter fishing updates — the latest Lake Michigan salmon, trout & steelhead catch reports from Captain Scott
What an incredible season it has been on Lake Michigan! We wrapped up October with a beautiful mixed bag of king salmon and coho salmon. Four happy anglers, limits on the board, and memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you to everyone who fished with Reel Tales Charters this year — we can't wait to see you in 2027!
It has been and still remains the best salmon fishing that I can remember in my 28 years as a captain. September should be another unbelievable month.
It's been a busy season and I got a little behind on the blog. Our fishing continues to be fantastic in Glen Arbor. Mornings have been very good for Kings and this should continue. Afternoon trips have been mostly limit catches as well.
Along with some spectacular Lake Trout fishing this spring, we are seeing some nice King Salmon in the mornings out of Glen Arbor. Book your trip and get in on the hot action! Still have openings for Salmon trips in July and August.
The season started with a bang this year. The Lake Trout, in Glen Arbor, were hungry from the long winter. Starting to see some early season kings too! Stay tuned for more updates!
Glen Arbor's king fishing is heating up with nice catches of mature fish. The weather has been fantastic and so has the fishing. August should be a great month for a Glen Arbor charter fishing trip! Don't miss out!!
Fishing continues to be good, in Glen Arbor, with nice mixed bagged catches of king salmon and lake trout. Stable weather should continue to bring the kings in. Lake trout fishing has been fantastic with many topping the scales.
Long overdue update. It's been a very busy summer with great crews out on Reel Tales! Our Salmon fishing has been spotty, but is improving. When we can't get the salmon to bite, we can still produce limit catches of Brown Trout and Lake Trout.
We have been catching, not fishing lately in Glen Arbor! Limit catches of big Lake Trout and we are seeing more and more salmon showing up. Mornings are your go to for the kings while the Lake Trout will bite all day.
The Glen Arbor charter fishing season has begun! Limit catches of Lake Trout are common this time of year. The new boat is performing better than I'd hoped! Give us a call and book your Glen Arbor Fishing adventure!
Broke the new Grady White in by fishing southern Lake Michigan in Michigan City, IN. Caught a nice haul of King Salmon. The season looks to be a good one! Can't wait to get started!
